Hi my name is Sarah and I’m the owner of FWC, in Cambridgeshire, UK.
This is my first blog post, so thank you for stopping by and taking a read. I hope to give an insight in to why we got started, who we are, and share some of our goals with you.
We are a small company specialising in deluxe flower walls and arrangements that we hire for weddings and events. We aim to provide gorgeous large scale florals to give you show stopping statement pieces. We want to be able to offer big style, and be able to provide it for whatever budget you might have. We really love the natural look, hand selecting the most realistic artificial flowers to use in our flower walls and arrangements. We make them all in house and by hand. I’m often found knee deep in flowers.
We love to hear about your wedding ideas, from receiving ideas of how you envisage your big day, to meeting at your venue for a one to one consultation. From that, we put together a proposal and sample of what we could do for you. This is one of my favourite parts of my job. Working with different people & sharing ideas, bringing out my creative background from my degree in design and visual merchandising experience.
When I started planning for my big day, the experience wasn’t at all how I thought it would be. I don’t know if its just me, but I thought it would feel special. I thought it would be easy, but that’s not how it was at all. I found I really struggled to find what I was looking for. When we asked for something different it sometimes felt like we were an inconvenience, just because we wanted something a little different. I wasn’t a bridezilla, and didn’t want the world, just touches to make it individual, & something I hadn’t seen before. We ended up running from one person, to the next, to the next trying to pull it together. We were stressed, rather than enjoying the planning. That’s why if we can do something for you we will, or if we can’t at very least recommend someone who might be able to, because we know how time consuming and stressful it can be.
We try to give you something personal for your day. We wanted to be able to offer flower walls or large arrangements that were different. Not just a standard copy wall that’s bought in, and goes up and down the country, and you get what you get. But ones that would tie in with your day, ones you could add in your wedding style, and personality. I love flowers and nature and would have loved to train as a florist, but I’m allergic. I couldn’t find what I was looking for as a bride, and so wanted to be able to offer something for couples who might be in a similar situation. So this is where we started. We are now able to offer decor packages, and put it together for you, or just pick elements of what suits you, with customise options, or we will even make it totally bespoke. It’s up to you, the way it should be.
We want you to feel like a Bride, feel special from day one planning with us, we want to make beautiful things. We want it to be a meaningful experience, be individual and we want your day to be very you!
